This artwork is the first piece from a new series I started, called Life is A Box of Chocolates. I created it using handmade clay chocolates, placed over a cotton table runner, all mounted on a wood panel and sealed with resin.
Each chocolate represents a moment in life — some smooth, some textured, some unexpected — just like the different experiences we encounter every day. The gold accents and scattered coffee beans bring a feeling of richness, warmth, and little surprises, while the rustic runner and deep frame ground the whole piece in something real and familiar.
With this series, I want to capture that feeling we all know so well: how life can be unpredictable, sweet, messy, and beautiful all at once.
